Former WWE stars have been making the jump to Impact Wrestling recently, and it was recently reported that former TNA Tag Team Champion Crazzy Steve will be joining WWE. Now looks like he may not be the only former Impact Wrestling star joining the company.
Wrestling Inc is reporting that former TNA Television and Tag Team Champion Gunner may be signing a deal with WWE soon. According to the report, Gunner is set to take the required physical soon, and if he passes he will end up joining NXT.
Gunner made his Impact Wrestling debut in 2010 and he feuded with some of the top stars in the company before he parted ways with the promotion in 2015. Throughout his run with the company he hovered around the main event scene and even challenged Magnus for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship at one point.
With stars such as Samoa Joe, Shinsuke Nakamura, The Revival and more making the jump to the main roster, it looks like Triple H is trying to replenish the talent pool in NXT.
If history has proved anything it’s that NXT is the land of opportunity for former Impact Wrestling stars, so it should be interesting to see how Gunner is used if he does indeed end up signing a WWE contract.
