Former ECW World Champion Sabu Passes Away At The Age Of 60

The wrestling world has unfortunately lost another legend PWInsider is reporting that Sabu (real name Terry Brunk) has passed away at the age of 60. Additional details regarding the passing of the former ECW World Champion are unknown at this time.

Sabu recently competed in his final match in Las Vegas on April 18 when he defeated Joey Janela at a GCW event. Last weekend he made his final wrestling appearance at the Tri-State Wrestling Alliance reunion show at the 2300 Arena.

Back in 1985, Sabu kicked off his career as he wrestled for various promotions. He went on to debut with ECW in 1993 and his name became synonymous with the promotion. During his run with the company he managed to become a two time ECW World Champion, one time ECW Television Champion, and a three time ECW Tag Team Champion. He parted ways with ECW in 2000.

Throughout his career Sabu has also worked with a number of other notable companies including WWE, WCW, TNA Wrestling, NJPW, All Elite Wrestling and more.
