Former Divas Champion Backstage At Live Event, Jay Lethal Talks Training AJ Lee

It’s true, you never really know who’s going to show up when you attend a WWE live event. Anyone could appear at any time and in any place, including the backstage area. The stars of the SmackDown Live roster got a nice little surprise on Sunday night when a former WWE Divas Champion stopped by to visit with her friends.

Kaitlyn retired from WWE in 2014, but she’s been busy running her own business under her real name Celeste Bonin. Sunday night she stopped by the WWE live event in Miami, FL, and she hung out with her friends Natalya, Naomi and Tamina Snuka.

The former WWE Divas Champion shared a photo of herself with Natalya, and she also noted that she loves smelling Tamina’s hair.

AJ Lee hasn’t wrestled a match since she quietly retired after WrestleMania 31, but she certainly hasn’t been forgotten by wrestling fans. AJ had a big impact on the women’s division during her time in WWE, and at one point she was the longest reigning WWE Divas Champion.

Jay Lethal knows a thing or two about winning titles, and he also knows a thing or two about AJ Lee. Lethal trained AJ back in the day, and he recently spoke to Cult Of Whatever about his experience working with AJ.

“That was interesting, when she trained she was pretty much the only girl in her class and the smallest, everybody else towered over her so I’m sure that didn’t make the classes any easier. As she went on to become the longest reigning women’s champion in WWE to say I had any help or aid in doing that is cool but I think once she got pulled into the WWE system they show you how to do things their way which I’m sure is the total opposite of the way I did it.”

On this week’s episode of Still Real Radio we’re talking about the road to SummerSlam, who might walk out of the big event as Universal Champion and more. We’re also talking about the possibility of another WWE Superstar Shake-up, and which stars might be better off getting sent to NXT. New episodes of Still Real Radio are available every Wednesday, and uou can subscribe to the show on iTunes, and check out the latest episode below.
