Former Champions Reportedly Done As A Tag Team

2022 was a good year for tag team wrestling and there’s no denying that RK-Bro was one of the most talked about tag teams in the business. Back in May, RK-Bro dropped the Raw Tag Team Titles to The Usos in a title unification match on SmackDown, and that was the last time Orton and Riddle teamed together.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the team of Sheamus & Drew McIntyre are now being referred to as The Banger Bros. which leads to questions about Matt Riddle & Randy Orton’s status as RK-Bro. It seems that there are no plans for the RK-Bro tag team to be reformed as WWE usually doesn’t like to use similar names.

There’s said to be a lot of concern regarding the future of Randy Orton’s career due to his issues with his back. Back in November it was reported that Randy Orton underwent lower back fusion surgery and there’s currently no timeline for his return.

Stay tuned for more updates on Randy Orton’s status as they become available.
