Former Champion Unlikely To Wrestle Retirement Match In WWE

WWE has released some surprising names in recent years and back in April the company cut ties with former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal. Since then Jinder Mahal has gone on to wrestle for several companies using the name Raj Dhesi, and it doesn’t sound like he has any plans to slow down in the near future.

Raj reflected on his run with WWE during an interview with PWInsider Elite while explaining that he simply tried to make the best of what he was given.

“You make the best of what you’re given and that’s exactly how I looked at that segment with The Rock. I wasn’t even actually returning. I was managing Indus Sher on ‘Main Event.’ At that point, it wasn’t a plan for me to wrestle Seth [Rollins] a few weeks after that in a title match.

It was just going to be a one-off promo, which went well and got a lot of love from the internet, Twitter, everywhere, and then [we] just carried that momentum into that championship match.”

While taking about the future of his career Raj Dhesi indicated that he will likely be wrapping up his career on the independent scene when he said, “I started from the independents and I’ll probably finish my career, whenever that is, not anytime soon, on the independents.”

Do you think WWE should bring Raj Dhesi back and let him finish out his career as Jinder Mahal? Sound off in the comments below.
