Now that Clash at the Castle has come and gone all eyes are looking ahead to the Extreme Rules premium live event next month. This week it was announced that Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle will face off in the Fight Pit at Extreme Rules.
A fan noted on Twitter that the return of the Fight Pit presents WWE with a perfect opportunity to bring Ken Shamrock back for a special appearance, and the former Intercontinental Champion made it clear that he feels the same way when he responded with the following:
Ken Shamrock joined WWE in 1997 and he went on to feud with some of the top stars in the company. During his run with WWE he won the King of the Ring tournament as well as the Intercontinental Title and WWE Tag Team Titles.
Shamrock parted ways with WWE in 1999 and has yet to return to the company. Following his departure he’s worked with Impact Wrestling, NJPW and various independent promotions.
