Over the last few months fans have seen some AEW stars part ways with the company as their contracts expired, but it looks like at least one star will be sticking with the promotion for years to come.
Fightful Select reports that Miro has been re-signed to a four year contract extension with AEW. The deal will keep the former TNT Champion with AEW through 2026, and the two sides reportedly agreed to it late last year, but it wasn’t signed until a little while after.
Miro debuted with AEW in September of 2020, and his original deal was set to expire in the spring of 2022. He has not wrestled since he was defeated by Bryan Danielson at the Full Gear pay-per-view back in November of 2021. Miro has been dealing with a hamstring injury, but he has reportedly been good to return for some time now.
Stay tuned for more updates on Miro’s return as they become available.
