It’s been an interesting year so far as there’s been a lot of movement in the wrestling world. MVP finished up with WWE a few months ago and he went on to make his debut with All Elite Wrestling at Grand Slam in September. The former United States Champion recently formed The Hurt Syndicate with Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin, and it looks like they’re set to become one of the top acts in AEW.
MVP recently spoke to Drop The Heat at Heels Have Eyes lll, about his WWE departure, and he made it clear that he decided to leave due to the change in management that’s taken place over the last few years.
“I left the first time to go to Japan. This time, I didn’t want to re-sign, and I let it be known that I wasn’t gonna re-sign because the new management in place…any time, I don’t care where you work, whatever you do for a living, when new management comes in, it’s good for some people and not good for other people.
Some people, new people come in, old people go. So I just felt that it was definitely time to go because the new management just wasn’t for me, and I ain’t for him.”
