This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite took place from Stockton, CA and it was the special four year anniversary edition of the show. Dynamite featured a big return as Wardlow finally made his way back to TV for the first time in several months.
During the show Griff Garrison made his way to the ring and it was revealed that Wardlow was his opponent. Wardlow wasted little time getting down to business as he charged at Griff Garrison and drove him into the corner as soon as the bell rang. The former TNT Champion then proceeded to hit Griff Garrison with five powerbombs before the referee called for the bell and declared Wardlow the winner.
After winning the match Wardlow climbed over the barricade and left through the crowd as the fans chanted his name. This is the first time that Wardlow has appeared on AEW programming since he dropped the TNT Championship to Luchasaurus during the first episode of Collision back in June.
