This week’s episode of AEW Collision aired on Thursday night as opposed to Saturday, and the show featured the return of a former AEW Women’s Champion.

During the show Willow Nightingale held an open challenge for her TBS Championship, and the challenge was answered by none other than Hikaru Shida. As Hikaru Shida made her way down the ramp Excalibur pointed out that it had been nearly 500 days since Shida had stepped foot in an AEW ring.

Ultimately Willow Nightingale picked up the win and retained the TBS Championship after she pinned Shida off a backslide. After the match Hikaru Shida looked like she was about to hit Willow with a kendo stick, but she paused for a moment and collected herself as Willow gave her a thumbs up. Shida then slammed the kendo stick on the mat out of frustration as Willow Nightingale left with the belt.

Prior to her return on Collision, Hikaru Shida last competed on AEW programming when she faced off against Kris Statlander on the 11/20/2024 episode of Dynamite.

Stay tuned for updates.
