When Bray Wyatt introduced the world to The Fiend he quickly became one of the most talked about characters in the world of professional wrestling. The Fiend helped Bray Wyatt break back into the main event scene, and last year Alexa Bliss formed an alliance with The Fiend.
Throughout their alliance Alexa Bliss became a much darker, more supernatural version of herself, and at WrestleMania 37 she turned on The Fiend. Since then Alexa Bliss has been carrying on with the supernatural gimmick all by herself, and some fans have accused WWE of taking Wyatt’s gimmick and giving it to Alexa.
It seems that former WWE Women’s Champion Mickie James feels as though WWE took the gimmick from Wyatt and gave it to Alexa as she recently posted the following on Twitter:
“I think what you meant to say was: “Thank you so much for coming up with such an incredible gimmick(time & time again)one so cool & over, we really didn’t know how to book it right. So we just gave it to someone else so we can still make ALL the money off of it & let you go”
James went on to clarify that she was not speaking out against Alexa Bliss and she thinks Bliss is an incredible performer.
“This isn’t against Alexa. I love her. She’s an incredible performer who is killing it in a role she was given. She always does. We as artists take every role we’re given & turn it into gold. He, she, they both did that. Like it/not. Facts are facts. So sorry if that offends you.”
Alexa Bliss recently released her own statement on Bray Wyatt’s release and you can get more on that here.
