There have been a number of names over the last few years who have established themselves as top stars in All Elite Wrestling. Toni Storm is one of those names as she managed to become a three time AEW Women’s Champion. Her last reign with the belt lasted for 281 days before she dropped the belt to Mariah May at All In back in August.
That was the last time Toni Storm competed in an AEW ring, but she has since wrestled for Stardom in Japan and CMLL in Mexico. Recently Toni Storm spoke to SB Nation about the future of her wrestling career, and she claimed that this is the last wrestling fans will hear from her because she is done.
“I’m not used to being a loser. I’ve failed at everything. I lost in AEW, I lost in Japan, I lost in Mexico. This is the last you’ll hear from me again. Enjoy Mariah May as your champion. You can all enjoy that.”
Toni Storm went on to say that AEW doesn’t need her when she added, “AEW is just fine without me. Everything is going well for AEW. They don’t need Toni Storm.”
While Toni Storm claims to be done it’s worth noting that the interview appeared to be in character, and as we all know “Timeless” Toni Storm has a tendency to be overdramatic.
Recently there’s been a lot of speculation regarding Toni Storm returning at Full Gear this weekend, so we’ll have to wait and see how this plays out.
