Chris Benoit is a controversial figure in the world of professional wrestling, and if you’re a wrestling fan, then you probably know why. Benoit isn’t a name you’re going to hear mentioned on WWE programming, and chances are slim that he’ll ever be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Although you won’t be seeing footage of Chris Benoit on WWE programming, Benoit did recently make an appearance in a snack food commercial. British food company Walkers asked fans to submit their selfies for a promotion called the “Walkers Wave” and as you can imagine, the people of the internet took this opportunity to send in the most ridiculous photos they could find.
It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that this was a bad idea from the start, and apparently whoever screened the photos wasn’t doing a very good job.
A photo of Chris Benoit made it through and it was featured in one of the commercials. The has to be seen to be believed, and you can check it out below.
Chris Benoit apparently wasn’t the only offensive face that got approved, as the company later issued an apology to anyone who might have been offended by the ads.
One thing’s for sure, Walkers won’t be trying anything like this again anytime soon.
