FloSports Looking To Stream Independent Wrestling Content With FloSlam

PWInsider is reporting that a company called FloSports has been talking to various independent wrestling promotions about possibly streaming their content. FloSports is a streaming service that streams live sporting events, and last week the company launched apps on Apple TV and Roku.

WWE made an investment in FloSports earlier this year. Back in August FloSports announced that they had received $21.2 million dollars in new funding to expand the service. The funding came from DCM Ventures and Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments, Discovery Communications, Causeway Media Partners, and WWE.

The pro wrestling streaming service through FloSports will be called FloSlam. The FloSlam website is currently advertising live streaming of top pro wrestling events around the world, an archived event library and original documentaries.

The FloSlam website also features an image of John Cena battling Randy Orton as the background. The “people” section of the website also features profiles of many of WWE’s top stars as well as profiles for stars from other promotions.

The company is expected to make announcements about the service soon. It will cost $20 a month, or fans also have the option of purchasing an annual plan for a price of $150 per year.

Fans can register for the service now by clicking here.

“We want to partner with world-class investors who share our vision to transform sports media,” FloSports co-founder and CEO Martin Floreani said in a statement that was released back in August. “It’s exciting that visionaries in the media and OTT space have backed us to achieve this goal. We are the best direct-to-consumer solution for leagues, governing bodies and independent rights holders to monetize their events. In turn, this allows our company to serve millions of sports fans and supports our mission to grow the sports, the athletes, the events and the fans.”
