The Elimination Chamber was first introduced in 2002, and the design of the structure has remained mostly unchanged over the years, but tonight fans will be introduced to a brand new chamber. Six of SmackDown’s biggest stars will be fighting for the WWE Title inside the Elimination Chamber tonight, and fans at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, AZ have been gracious enough to share some photos of the new and improved chamber on social media.

As you can see in the picture above, the structure is no longer circular like it used to be, as it’s taken on more of a square shape, which appears to wrap around the ring a little bit better.
The Elimination Chamber was once a staple of WWE programming, but over the past few years the structure has quietly fallen into the background. One of the reasons why the Elimination Chamber disappeared was because WWE had trouble finding venues that could accommodate the massive structure, which appears to be one of the main reasons why the company altered the design.
