First Ever WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Crowned During Elimination Chamber PPV

On Sunday night the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view aired live on the WWE Network, and the show kicked off in a big way with a chamber match at the beginning of the show.

Nia Jax & Tamina, Sonya Deville & Mandy Rose, Sasha Banks & Bayley, Naomi & Carmella, The IIconics and Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan all competed inside the Elimination Chamber to determine who would be the first WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

The women of WWE made history once again, and in the end it was Sasha & Bayley who walked out with the belts.

It came down to Nia Jax & Tamina, Bayley & Banks and Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville. Jax ended up running through a pod, and while she was down, everyone else in the match teamed up on Tamina to eliminate her and Nia Jax.

The end of the match came when Mandy Rose was trying to hit Sasha Banks with a move, but Sonya Deville speared Mandy by accident.

Sasha then locked in the Banks Statement on Sonya Deville and she tapped out.

After the match Sasha & Bayley celebrated as the fans chanted “you deserve it.”
