This week’s episode of SmackDown Live featured the return of the SmackDown Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch, and Becky wasted no time calling out Charlotte Flair.
Things got heated between Charlotte and Becky, so SmackDown General Manager Paige got involved and booked Charlotte vs. Becky in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match at WWE TLC with the SmackDown Women’s Title on the line.
That’s when the blue brand’s women’s division made their way out and complained about not getting a title shot, so Paige announced that every woman on SmackDown would compete in a battle royal and the winner would be added to the title match at TLC.
The final 4 came down to Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Naomi and Asuka.
Naomi and Mandy Rose went over the top to the apron and Naomi eliminated Mandy Rose, then Sonya Deville eliminated Naomi.
Sonya threw Asuka over the top to the apron, and Mandy Rose tried to grab her foot, but Asuka took her out. Asuka got Deville on the outside and they exchanged strikes.
Deville charged at Asuka, and Asuka countered with a knee to win the battle royal.
Becky Lynch will now defend the SmackDown Women’s Title against Charlotte Flair and Asuka in the first women’s Tables, Ladders and Chairs match at TLC.
