The main event of Monday Night Raw this week saw Absolution take on Sasha Banks, Mickie James and Bayley, but the match quickly turned into a huge brawl featuring all the women from the women’s division on Raw.
As all the ladies were brawling, Stephanie McMahon’s music hit, and they all stopped. Stephanie made her way down to the ring, and she grabbed a microphone while all the ladies of the women’s division surrounded her.
Stephanie said that 3 years ago the Women’s Revolution started, and that everyone in the ring turned the revolution into an evolution, and that’s why the Divas Revolution became the Women’s Revolution.
She continued to hype up the women’s division, and how they’ve made history with the first ever women’s Money In The Bank ladder match, and more.
Stephanie then asked the women if they want to make history once again, and she officially announced the first ever WWE all women’s Royal Rumble match. Steph then encouraged the fans to chant “YES” and they gladly obliged.
At this point it’s not clear whether or not stars from SmackDown Live will compete in the Royal Rumble match as well, but it seems likely. Stay tuned for updates.
