WWE recently announced the first ever SummerSlam Concert and the concert was set to take place from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Thursday, August 18th, but the concert has been canceled.
Ticketmaster issued an e-mail yesterday announcing that the event has been canceled and the listing for the event on the official Barclays Center website also confirms that the event has been canceled.
The concert was set to be headlined by Flo Rida and Jason Derulo was also scheduled to perform. WWE announced in the press release that proceeds from the event were going to be used to benefit Conor’s Cure. As of right now there’s no official word on why the concert was canceled.
WWE has announced that Tuesday night on WWE SmackDown Live John Cena will be facing off in a match against Alberto Del Rio. It’s also been announced that WWE Champion Dean Ambrose and Dolph Ziggler will be guests on Miz TV.
