Carmella Is The First Ever WWE Miss Money In The Bank

The annual Money in the Bank pay-per-view is normally one of the most anticipated events of the year, but this year the show was extra special. A few weeks ago on SmackDown Live, Commissioner Shane McMahon announced that Tamina, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Carmella and Natalya would all compete in the first ever women’s Money in the Bank match, and Sunday night it became a reality.

All five women made history on Sunday night, and of course James Ellsworth was at ringside supporting Carmella.

There was a lot of hype leading up to the first ever women’s Money in the Bank ladder match, and luckily the women of SmackDown Live did not disappoint. The match was action packed, but the finish was a bit controversial.

At the end of the match, Becky Lynch climbed the ladder and she was just about the grab the briefcase, but then James Ellsworth pushed the ladder over.

Ellsworth tried to get Carmella to climb, but she was in too much pain. James Ellsworth then climbed the ladder himself and grabbed the briefcase. He then dropped it down to Carmella.

As the referees argued about the finish, Ellsworth grabbed the mic and announced Carmella as the first ever Miss Money in the Bank.

Carmella’s music then hit and she celebrated with the briefcase as the segment ended.
