The WWE Draft kicked off in a big way on Tuesday night, as Mauro Ranallo said before the first match, “SmackDown live is already lit!”
WWE wasted absolutely no time getting down to business and they started things off with the very first draft picks at the beginning of the show. Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley made the first draft pick and they wasted no time claiming Seth Rollins for Raw.
Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan then followed up by picking the current WWE Champion Dean Ambrose and said that he will still be champion by the end of the night. Back to Raw Mick Foley told the crowd that they want a strong Women’s division on Raw and he drafted current WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte to Raw.
Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan then fired back by drafting AJ Styles to SmackDown. Stephanie gave them props saying that it was a “phenomenal” pick.
As WWE noted, 6 draft picks will be made from NXT and Finn Balor was the first. Mick Foley said he was looking to the future and Finn Balor is heading to Raw.
