For months now WWE has been holding their TV tapings at the Performance Center in Orlando, but today the company confirmed that they’re moving production to the Amway Center and rechristening the venue ThunderDome.
TV tapings from ThunderDome will kick off this Friday with SmackDown, and continue at the location for the foreseeable future.
Kevin Dunn confirmed that WWE will using drones, lasers, pyro and smoke to create entrances that are “better than WrestleMania.” It’s also been confirmed that live fans will appear on the show via a LED board.
The first construction photos from ThunderDome have surfaced online, and one worker noted that the set is expected to be finished by Wednesday. The photos can be seen below.
