Finn Balor Wrestles First Singles Match Since His Return

Finn Balor’s has been back on the road with the Raw brand for the past couple of weeks, but he’s just been relegated to tag team matches. However, in Hershey, Pennsylvania, he finally got in the ring and was afforded the chance to fend for himself when he faced off against Jinder Mahal in a one-on-one contest. This marks the first time he’s been in a singles match since his long-awaited return.

Albeit, Mahal isn’t the most formidable opponent, although he is fully capable of being such. We’re just saying the former 3MB member hasn’t really been able to find his stride since his WWE return.

The contest was short-lived and Finn Balor ended up going out on top, but it isn’t about how monumental the match was, it’s about what this means for the Demon King. WWE is obviously easing him into a spot where he can work more in a match. When you’re in a tag match you could easily stand on the apron for 90% of it, as long as you get the hot tag and wrap up the match in the last sequence it all comes out in the wash.

Finn’s finally being booked in contests where he handles the entire workload of a full match. If you’re wondering, Chris Jericho took Finn’s place in the customary tag match with Sami Zayn against Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe.

One thing is for sure, The Balor Club is going to be back open for business very soon and we can’t wait.
