WWE house shows are a wonderful thing. Fans get an up-close and personal chance to see WWE superstars do their thing and try out new spots. They also get a rare chance to watch match-ups they wouldn’t normally see. Sunday night’s show in White Plains, New York was all of those things combined.
The main event of the night saw a 6-man-tag match between Triple H, Kevin Owens, and Samoa Joe taking on the team of Chris Jericho, Sami Zayn, and Finn Balor. There was no shortage of great wrestling and technical ability. Although there were 6 people competing for time, everyone got their spots in.
Triple H even landed an epic looking pedigree on Sami Zayn. But the cherry on the top was an epic confrontation between Triple H and Finn Balor.
The two met in the middle of the ring and after a little bit of a stand-off, Triple H offered up a “too sweet.” But, Finn’s reaction was priceless as he replied with his classic “finger gun.” Needless to say, the place was lit for this moment. Wouldn’t we be so lucky to see Finn Balor and Triple H in a real program together?
The babyfaces won the encounter and left everyone wanting more from Finn Balor. Who knows how soon it will be until we see Finn Balor return to the ring on television? We’re crossing our fingers.
Broken Matt Hardy has been around for a minute or two and his soul has lived for even longer. Some people might not realize how long they’ve known Hardy because his Broken Matt gimmick seems like a new person. But the fact is he’s seen a lot and met several of the most famous people in wrestling history along the way.
A fan recently posted a throwback picture of Matt Hardy sporting some Bret Hart sunglasses and questioned Matt about them. The Broken Brilliance of Matt Hardy was quick to clarify he got them from Bret’s younger brother Owen Hart after a match at a television taping. This is very cool and we wonder if Matt still has those glasses somewhere.
