Finn Balor has found a lot of success in WWE, and he currently holds the NXT Championship. But Balor became infamous during his time in NJPW as one of the founding members of The Bullet Club.
The Bullet Club has quite the legacy in the world of professional wrestling, and even though the lineup has changed quite a bit from when the group originally formed, the legacy of The Bullet Club is still moving forward.
Balor recently spoke to Digital Spy about the formation of The Bullet Club, and he noted that it wasn’t just a storyline, to him it was very real.
“Bullet Club’s a funny thing because obviously we created that in Japan and that was a moment in time and it really represented my personal feelings at the time. I was disgruntled with how I was being treated by the office in New Japan and the bond that I had with Karl Anderson and Tama Tonga and Fale… it wasn’t a storyline that was a real moment in time and it was real emotions and real feelings.”
The NXT Champion went on to say that even though he’s no longer part of the group he still has respect for Bullet Club.
“Certainly we’ve grown apart, whether that’s forever, I don’t know. There’s certainly an unwritten respect that all the Bullet Club members have amongst each other. So I think we’re all bonded together, whether that becomes public again in the future or not, I don’t know.”
