Finn Balor has been out of action since August after he injured his shoulder during the first ever Universal Title match at SummerSlam. Balor went to war with Seth Rollins, but unfortunately a powerbomb into the barricade sealed his fate.
Getting injured is never fun, especially when you’re in the midst of a huge push, but no one can deny how tough Balor is because after he injured his shoulder he finished the match and gave the fans everything he had.
The first ever Universal Champion finally made his return to the ring on Friday night when he wrestled at the WWE live event in Buffalo, NY, and fans were thrilled to have him back. Finn Balor teamed up with Sami Zayn and Chris Jericho to take on Triple H, Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe, and in the end it was Jericho who got the win for his team after he hit Owens with the Codebreaker.
After the match, Finn Balor walked around the arena and took pictures with fans while signing autographs. One fan hyperventilated while taking a picture with Balor and before he left the Buffalo crowd showered him with “welcome back” chants.
Chris Jericho made his return to television at WWE Fastlane and he distracted Kevin Owens during his Universal Title match with Goldberg. The distraction helped Goldberg pick up the win, as he destroyed Owens in 22 seconds, and Chris Jericho has revealed that WWE Fastlane is his WWE Network pick of the week.
