As we have previously reported, Finn Balor stormed the NXT ring last night during the concluding moments of the television taping at UCF and brought the fight to Bobby Roode. WWE reported that Balor was not medically cleared for the ring, and Balor confirmed this although it did leave many fans to wonder why WWE would permit The Demon to step in the ring if he wasn’t medically cleared.
Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that the claims that Balor has yet to receive his final medical clearance are true. According to their sources, Finn Balor hasn’t been medically cleared yet.
Although he has been working out in the ring, lifting weights like a champ, and even rehearsing his iconic Demon entrance, Balor still has one more test to pass before he will receive medical clearance to return.
We have previously reported that Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio that there have always been plans for Balor to return by WrestleMania 33, but since he isn’t medically cleared yet there must be a lot of faith that he’ll pass his final test.
Finn’s last medical test for final clearance is scheduled for early March, and it couldn’t come any sooner because Fergal Devitt has already been booked on a couple house shows later that month.
