John Cena’s career will be coming to an end soon as he’s set to compete in his retirement match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13th. For weeks now the stars of WWE have been competing in The Last Time Is Now Tournament as a number of notable names have attempted to earn the opportunity to be John Cena’s final opponent.
The Last Time Is Now Tournament continued on Raw this week and Jey Uso faced off against LA Knight in the first match of the night. It was the Megastar who ended up picking up the win to advance to the finals, and the loss caused Jey Uso to crash out.
Later in the night Gunther faced off against Solo Sikoa and Talla Tonga stood at ringside while the match was taking place. At one point Talla Tonga attacked Gunther while the referee wasn’t looking. Throughout the match Gunther struggled as Solo Sikoa dominated The Ring General.
Near the end of the match Solo pulled a turnbuckle pad off and the referee spotted it. While the ref was putting the turnbuckle pad back on Talla Tonga attacked Gunther again. Solo tried to join in, but the referee stopped him. Gunther rolled Solo back into the ring then hit him with a low blow while the ref wasn’t looking. He followed up with a powerbomb on Solo to win the match.
After the match LA Knight made his way down to the ring and got in Gunther’s face. The Megastar talked trash then walked off as Gunther smiled. LA Knight and Gunther will go on to face one another in The Last Time Is Now Tournament finals on next week’s episode of Raw.
Stay tuned for updates.
