We’re less than one week away from the WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony, and this year’s class features some familiar names from the past.
Today the final inductee was confirmed via Sports Illustrated, as it was announced that Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake will be inducted as part of the 2019 class.
“This is the culmination of a lifetime’s worth of work. I’m grateful to the WWE, and I cannot wait for the tremendous honor.”
Brutus also touched on his relationship with Hulk Hogan while talking about veterans who helped him along the way.
“Terry and I were just a couple kids from Tampa living our dream. We had sat on the beach for endless days talking about wrestling, and then there we were, living it, working territories in Florida and Alabama with guys like Ox Baker, Bob Armstrong, and Professor Toru Tanaka. They took us under their wing and helped make us into what we became.”
It’s been rumored that Hulk Hogan could be inducting Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake this year, but that hasn’t been confirmed.
The WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony will air live on the WWE Network on Saturday, April 6.
