Fastlane Plans Changed For Samoa Joe, What’s Next For Chris Jericho, Tag Team Title Match

The original plan for Fastlane was for Chris Jericho to defend his US Title against Sami Zayn. We recently reported that the BMO Harris Bradley Center even put out advertising to promote the match. However, the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the current plan for Fastlane is for Sami Zayn to face Samoa Joe.

The initial plans for Fastlane were apparently for Zayn to battle Jericho and Seth Rollins to face Samoa Joe. Unfortunately, Rollins will be unable to perform at the show due to his recent knee issues, therefore a change had to be made.

At this point it’s not known what the current plans might be for Jericho at Fastlane. But, it was noted that Jericho might be selling his injury from the beating Owens gave him for a little bit, although he is still being advertised for live shows as well as Monday Night Raw in Los Angeles. Plans for Jericho are currently being kept quiet but it’s possible that he will be kept off television until Fastlane. Y2J has been known to go above and beyond to keep his activity a secret, from taking flights to towns miles away from where Raw was being held in order to stay out of the public eye, to hiding out in production trucks before the show. Therefore nothing is off the table in regards to how far Jericho will take his angles.

It’s also being reported that the current plan for Fastlane is to have Enzo and Cass, The Club, and Cesaro and Sheamus face each other in a triple threat match for the Raw Tag Team Championships.

These three teams have been intermingling quite a big over the last couple of weeks since The Club snagged their belts, and some have been hoping to see Enzo and Cass in the title hunt for quite some time now.

AJ Styles has come a long way since making his WWE debut. He’s a former WWE Champion and he’s feuded with big names such as Roman Reigns and John Cena, but is AJ being buried? Some people out there seem to think so and we’re talking about it on this week’s episode of Still Real Radio which you can listen to below or on iTunes by clicking here.
