All Elite Wrestling was officially announced last week, and on Tuesday the company held the Double Or Nothing Rally in Jacksonville, FL.
Conrad Thompson kicked off the press conference and he confirmed that Frankie Kazarian, Christopher Daniels and Scorpio Sky have signed with AEW.
Sky, Daniels and Kazarian all cut a promo at the podium, then Kazarian welcomed up the Jacksonville Jaguars cheerleaders and SCU threw shirts into the crowd before leaving.
Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes then took the stage and the fans chanted “thank you Cody.”
He said that compared to other athletes, wrestlers are always the least paid, but All Elite Wrestling is going to change that. He added that happy wrestlers means happy fans, and fans come first.
Rhodes went on to say that wins and losses will matter like they’ve never mattered before. He went on to say that AEW won’t coach fans on how to be fans, they can cheer, or boo for whoever they choose.
Cody then welcomed his fellow Executive Vice Presidents The Young Bucks to the stage. The fans then chanted “thank you Young Bucks.”
Matt Jackson announced that they’ve made an agreement with with OWE to bring Chinese wrestlers The Good Hearts to AEW.
Cody and The Bucks then announced that Double or Nothing will take place on May 25 from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
AEW Chief Brand Officer Brandi Rhodes then took the stage. Brandi said her job comes with a lot of responsibility, but she guarantees she will get AEW to the level it needs to be at.
Brandi confirmed that there will be a women’s division, and that they want it to be the strongest division in the world. She said they’re talking to women from all over the world, and more announcements will be made in the future regarding the division. Rhodes said that they care about their women, so the men and women will be paid equally.
Brandi Rhodes then confirmed that Britt Baker has signed with AEW and she welcomed her to the stage.
Britt said that AEW will elevate the world of professional wrestling to new heights, and that the company absolutely values pro wrestling.
Conrad Thompson took the stage again and MJF interrupted him then told him to get off the stage. MJF put gum on Conrad’s forehead and the crowd chanted “assh**e.”
The Jacksonville Jaguars mascot then got on the stage and MJF tried to kick him off. Joey Janela took out MJF and then introduced Penelope Ford.
Janela then confirmed that he and Ford have signed with All Elite.
Adam Page then took the stage and said that the fans are his boss, and because of that reason he’s going to work hard to make AEW a success. Page declared that in 2019 he will be the first All Elite World Champion.
Neville then interrupted and he had a stare down with Adam Page.
They left the stage then Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks returned. They announced that their next show after Double or Nothing will take place in Jacksonville. No date was announced.
They teased that the show was over, and Conrad Thompson asked the fans who they think will be the first AEW World Champion, PAC or Adam Page, then Chris Jericho interrupted.
Jericho made his way to the stage and said he’s all in with All Elite Wrestling, and they’re going to change the whole universe.
