Eva Marie first started appearing on WWE programming in 2013 and she quickly became one of the most talked about wrestlers in the company. After spending a few years on the main roster Eva Marie was sent to NXT and when she returned to the main roster WWE decided to try something different with her presentation.
The former Total Divas star started using a new entrance that featured a long introduction complete with compliments and praise for Eva Marie as she made her way to the ring.
Eva Marie recently talked about the entrance on the Paltrocast and she confirmed that it was Vince McMahon’s idea when she said, “That one was cool because apparently, Vince McMahon wrote that one, that was awesome.”
The long entrance got quite the reaction from the fans and Eva Marie also noted that when she first heard the introduction she figured she was going to get booed out of the building.
“It was one of those things where when I was coming back up onto the main roster they said, ‘Oh by the way you know you have a new entrance theme and music,’ I said, ‘Oh, okay.’ So, when they hit it I’m like, ‘Wow, I am going to literally get booed out of the building on this one, every night.’ Just the fact it was so crazy long and over the top, looking back I absolutely loved it.”
Eva Marie parted ways with WWE in 2017, but she returned to WWE programming in 2021. She was released later that year, but has indicated that the door is open for her to possibly return someday.
