During Eva Marie’s first run with WWE she faced a lot of criticism from fans, and she often found herself on the receiving end of some negative backlash from the wrestling community.
Eva Marie spent some time away from WWE, but when vignettes promoting her return started airing on WWE programming a few months ago there were some fans who made it clear that they weren’t looking forward to her return.
Recently Eva Marie spoke to Bleacher Report about the negative backlash she’s received from her critics, and she said that nowadays she takes everything in stride.
“Obviously, first coming into the company so brand-new you’re trying to take everything in stride. At the same time, I was brand-new to social media, brand-new to WWE, brand-new to Total Divas. You’re taking certain things and trying to learn as you go. Now that I’ve learned so much, especially outside of the company, I take everything in stride. Any type of criticism, to me, is like, ‘Good, I’m doing my job.'”
The former Total Divas star went on to say that if you take certain things to heart the entertainment business might not be for you.
“No matter what, you have to think no one is going to be happy. You’re not going to appease every single person. If you’re taking certain things to heart, then you shouldn’t be in entertainment.”
