Remember when Eric Bischoff was once public enemy number one in WWE? What a difference time makes, eh? Diamond Dallas Page and Eric Bischoff have a long documented friendship and the two have done a lot together in their lives. Now, they can add another monumental moment to their history together when Bischoff inducts his friend, Diamond Dallas Page into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Diamond Dallas Page rose to prominence in WCW and it was all eventually thanks to Eric Bischoff’s creative direction.
There are stories out there that say it was initially Scott Hall and Kevin Nash’s idea to push DDP to the top of the card, but Bischoff had to be the man who made it happen. Now, Eric is helping usher DDP into a new chapter of his life as a Hall of Famer. This is a really cool thing, indeed.
We just can’t help but wonder how far behind Eric Bischoff’s own induction will be since he’s being given this honor. Then again, with Jim Cornette inducting the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express as well, this could very well lead to somewhat of a Bizarro World Hall of Fame ceremony sometime down the road if these two were inducted in the same future class. One thing is for sure, we can’t wait to see what Eric Bischoff says about his old friend “Dally” on March 31st.
