Everyone knows that WWE is Vince McMahon’s ship to steer, and in order to make it in WWE you need to earn the support of Vince. At one point in time it seemed that Daniel Bryan had to fight extra hard to get to the top of the card, but eventually he cemented his legacy as a top star.
Recently Daniel Bryan was defeated by Roman Reigns on SmackDown, and per the stipulations of the match he was banished from the blue brand following the loss. It was later reported that Bryan’s WWE contract had expired.
Eric Bischoff discussed Daniel Bryan’s status on For The Heat and he noted that Bryan earned Vince McMahon’s respect while talking about why he thinks D-Bry will return.
“I’ve only worked with Daniel Bryan briefly. My thinking is that he is going to come back to WWE, perhaps not as a performer, as talent; I see him on the creative side of the table. I think he is a very creative guy. He’s got good instincts. I know that Vince McMahon respects him. I experienced that while I was there, so my bet, he will re-sign with WWE, but he will get more involved either in creative or as a producer.”
