Eric Bischoff was hired as the Executive Director of SmackDown a few months ago, and since then there have been a lot of rumors making the rounds regarding how Bischoff fit into the role.
Today WWE confirmed that Eric Bischoff has been removed from his position as SmackDown Executive Director, and he has been replaced by Bruce Prichard.
After WWE issued an official statement, Bischoff made his first comments on the situatuon when he posted the following on Twitter:
“Bruce is a great producer, good friend and I am certain he is going to thrive in his position. He’s going to be working with a great team of the most dedicated and hard working people I have had the pleasure of working with and getting to know.”
