Enzo Amore Apologizes For Missing Raw, The Miz’s Return Confirmed

Enzo Amore was scheduled to defend his WWE Cruiserweight Championship on Monday Night Raw this week, and he was set to put the belt on the line against Cedric Alexander.

However, Enzo missed Raw this week because he was ill and he spent the day in the hospital.

WWE did acknowledge Enzo’s status, as Nia Jax left the arena during tonight’s show to go visit Enzo in the hospital, and according to WWE.com, Enzo was in the hospital because he was dealing with the flu.

At this point in time it’s not known when Cedric Alexander will be getting his Cruiserweight Title shot.

Enzo Amore posted the following apology:

“I apologize to the fans who won’t get to see a #G tonight in #Miami… I did everything I could from Toronto to Miami… From negative weather, through customs, to opting out on Diddy’s nye party in Miami, 10 hrs in a hospital, I did everything in my power to make sure I would be in that ring tonight to whoop Cedric Alexander’s hind-end 😡… Ultimately: it was outta my hands. And I got the best freakin hands 👊🏻 Say what you want about Enzo (cause with or with out my per-mish you will 😘, but one thing you can’t say about ya boy: #SAWFT!) Cedric, 1 word to describe you tonight kiddo: #LUCKY!”

The Miz has been off TV for several weeks filming “The Marine 6: Close Quarters” but production recently wrapped and he’s set to return soon.

On this week’s episode of Raw it was confirmed that The Miz will be returning next week.
