The recent allegations of sexual assault against Enzo Amore have really been a bad time for The Realest Guy In The Room. Amore seems to be another name added to the “me too movement” where women are coming forward against famous people claiming sexual misconduct.
This situation still cost Amore his job with WWE. Now they will have to figure out what to do with the Cruiserweight Championship and his planned spot at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
They already had to replace him on Raw 25 as Bryan Alvarez said on Wrestling Observer Live that the plan was for Enzo to take all of DX’s finishing moves instead of Dash Wilder.
Now Enzo Amore has broken his silence by tweeting out a statement from his attorney Timothy J Eckstein which says:
“Over the last two days, Philomena Sheahan has made multiple public accusations against Eric Arndt (also known as Enzo Amore with the WWE), including allegations of sexual misconduct concerning an October 2017 incident in Phoenix. Mr. Arndt fully and unequivocally denies those accusations. He is cooperating with the authorities in this matter and looks forward to having it resolved in a timely manner. Neither Mr. Arndt nor his counsel will be making any further public comments on this matter.”
Enzo Amore is claiming innocence in this situation and hopefully, this will be handled in a timely manner as phrased in the release. He is doing his best at this point to stay ahead of the situation at least and it could be a matter of time before something official is decided. But at this point, this is still an ongoing investigation.
