It’s been just over a week since Emma, Darren Young and Summer Rae were all released from their WWE contracts, and the three former WWE stars will now spend the next few months sitting on the sidelines as they wait for their no compete clauses to expire. What’s next for Darren Young and Summer Rae remains to be seen, but Emma recently took to Twitter to let the world know that she’ll be available for bookings starting February 1st.
Many fans were shocked to see Emma get released as it seemed that she was in a decent spot in the women’s division, but it was recently reported that she had made some enemies backstage.
In 2016, WWE spent several months promoting the debut of Emma as Emmalina, but ultimately the gimmick was scrapped.
According to reports, the former WWE star didn’t like the Emmalina gimmick which was said to be a Vince McMahon creation, and that hurt her in the eyes of Vince.
There’s little doubt that Emma will find success on the independent scene as she still has her fair share of fans, so we’ll have to wait and see what the future holds for her.
