The WWE’s first female Australian superstar made her return to the ring on the Raw after WrestleMania 33 and she looked great. Even though her team didn’t come out on top, she certainly made her presence known. After the match, WWE’s camera caught up with Emma and she had plenty to say.
She’s sticking with her heel persona, which is the best move for her creatively. Even though fans waited patiently for sixteen long weeks to see Emmalina, it didn’t take her very long to transform back into the heel Emma we already knew. Emma said she’s not worried about a WWE shake-up because no matter what brand she’s on the women’s champion better watch out. She’s never held WWE gold and she wants to change that.
It has been a long road to get Emma back in the squared circle. She’s had to overcome a back injury and a botched character change. But, the 28-year-old Emma is back and ready for business. The only smile she gave was a slight grin at the thought of causing pain and the pop she received from the passionate crowd of WWE fans when she came out was well deserved.
She said she was born to be in the ring, and she’s finally back where she belongs. Her tough exterior doesn’t show us any of the bubble-popping goofy sidekick to Santino Marella fans used to know. She seems focused and primed to take on any challenge laid before her.
Only time will tell if she will get a big push but with her assertion back in the WWE Universe on the biggest Raw of the year, it can only mean good things are in store for Emma. If she ends up on SmackDown she might be second in line behind Alexa Bliss as top female heel. So it might not be a bad idea for her to switch to the blue brand. Emma doesn’t seem to care which brand she ends up in after the impending WWE shake-up because she looks ready for anything.
