Edge wrestled the last match on his WWE contract back in August, and his deal with the company recently expired. There was a lot of speculation heading into the WrestleDream pay-per-view on Sunday, and Edge got the wrestling world talking when he made his AEW debut as Adam Copeland.
After the WrestleDream pay-per-view concluded Adam Copeland appeared at the post-show press conference where Tony Khan confirmed that the Rated R Superstar will be working with AEW on a full-time basis.
“This is full-time. Adam is going to be with us every week. He’s going to wrestle, he’s a full-time part of the AEW roster. It’s been a long time since anybody has seen Adam wrestle as much and at the level he’s been in AEW. He’s wrestling at the highest level in recent years. He’s going to be here on a weekly basis.”
Tony Khan confirmed that Adam Copeland will make his first appearance on Dynamite during this week’s episode, and he’ll also be appearing on Collision on October 7. Khan later added that Adam Copeland will make his in-ring debut with AEW on the October 10 episode of Dynamite when he faces off against Luchasaurus.
Adam joked that the match will be hard then added that he always saw a lot of potential when it comes to Luchasaurus. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
