TMZ recently caught up with WWE Hall of Famer Edge and they asked him a few questions about Daniel Bryan’s retirement and injuries in general. The interviewer brought up Daniel Bryan’s concussion issues and mentioned how Edge didn’t really have much trouble with concussions throughout his career. Edge responded with “What were you saying?” before laughing and saying that he shouldn’t joke like that.
As far as his thoughts on Bryan’s retirement and his concussion issues go, Edge offered the following:
“I think we’ve all been dinged up at some point. There’s so little known about it still, at this point.”
He was then asked if concussion issues are something that he worries about as time goes on:
“No, no I don’t. I think I made it out pretty unscathed when it comes to that stuff. For me it was neck. It’s going to be something though. Whether it’s hips or back or concussions. For me it’s neck. I fell off of ladders a lot and that just took a toll on the neck, strangely as opposed to my head.”

Luckily Edge didn’t have to go through the exact same thing Daniel Bryan went through. Edge injured his neck while Daniel Bryan had to retire due to too many concussions. But their situations very similar.
After receiving word that he wouldn’t be able to compete anymore, Edge retired shortly after WrestleMania 27. He was the World Heavyweight Champion at the time and had to vacate the title. Edge was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame the following year.
Edge will be returning to the WWE Network soon as Edge & Christian will be appearing at Fastlane this Sunday. They will be interviewing the WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day on The Cutting Edge Peep Show.
Immediately following Fastlane the new show “Edge and Christian’s Show That Totally Reeks Of Awesomeness” will be premiering on the WWE Network. You can check out a trailer below.
