Last year Edge shocked the world when he returned to the ring at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, and this year he went on to enter at number one and win the match.
Edge’s win wasn’t the only big moment fans were talking about after the Royal Rumble, as Edge’s former tag team partner Christian also returned.
Christian’s return was shocking because much like Edge fans believed he was retired for good. During a recent interview with Sporting News Edge confirmed that he found out Christian was cleared months ago.
I was one of the few that was privy to the fact that he got cleared a few months ago. We didn’t know he was going to be in the Rumble until Friday, though. I was in the midst of driving down to his house from North Carolina to stay for the weekend. And then we found out and we’re like “OK, well, we’ll drive over to the rumble together then.”
