Edge On Christian’s WWE Contract Status, If They’ll Be Filming At WrestleMania 32 And More

WWE Hall of Famer Edge recently spoke to SLAM! Wresting about his acting career, life on the road with WWE and more. During the interview he also talked about the upcoming WWE Network show “Edge and Christian’s Show That Totally Reeks of Awesomeness.” He indicated that he had to be sold on the idea, but that there was no selling required for Christian because he’s still under WWE contract.

“Eventually they talked me into it. He’s (Christian) still under contract, but I’m not. I think the sell job had to be to me.”

Christian may still be under WWE contract but it seems that as far as WWE is concerned he’s retired from active competition. Back in October they moved him to the alumni section of their website and wrote the following:

“[Christian] solidified his legacy and left active competition still at the top of his game.”

Edge was also asked about whether or not the duo will be heading to WrestleMania 32 and he says they’re going to try and attend the event to film content for their new show.

“I haven’t been in a few years, since they inducted me, actually, just because I was always doing something. This year, I think we’re going to try and go out and do some filming for our show, and just get it all in one fell swoop, get some filming done with current guys that are on the roster, because you don’t want to ask them to fly up to New York on a day off.”
