Edge Makes His Surprise Return To WWE On SmackDown

Edge returned to WWE earlier this year when he won the Royal Rumble match, and he later went on to challenge for the Universal Title when he faced Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns in a triple threat match at WrestleMania 37.

The Rated R Superstar hasn’t been seen since he was pinned by Roman Reigns on the Grandest Stage of Them All, but he made his surprise return to Friday Night SmackDown this week.

During the show Roman Reigns gave a State of the Universal Championship Address, and he and Paul Heyman talked about all of the opponents Reigns has managed to put down. Heyman and Reigns declared that there is no one left to beat, and that’s when Edge’s music hit.

Edge then made his way to the ring, and he started brawling with Roman Reigns. Edge got the upper hand, and eventually Jey Uso came out to try and help The Tribal Chief, but Edge fought him off as well.

Roman Reigns retreated as Edge looked into the camera and said, “where you at Roman? I’m right here,” while the show went off the air.
