Edge Explains Why John Cena’s WrestleMania Match With The Undertaker Confused Him

After John Cena called out The Undertaker for weeks on Raw, he finally got an answer at WrestleMania 34.

The Deadman made his way down to the ring to face John Cena, but he destroyed Cena in a matter of minutes.

It wasn’t the match that some people wanted to see, and during a recent episode of E&C’s Pod of Awesomeness, Edge said that he was confused by the match.

“The Taker/Cena thing… I’m confused,” Edge said via Wrestling Inc. “Yeah, even sitting in the crowd and running to the back. And then, what was it, a five-minute match or something? Was it? I mean, who knows going into it what limitations there are or anything like that, but, man, there was an opportunity to have a dream match at WrestleMania and it felt lost somehow. I don’t know. It was just odd. I guess that’s really what it was to me. It was just odd.”

Edge also talked a little bit about the main event, and he said that if he were in charge, he would have booked Roman Reigns to win.

“I personally would’ve put the title on him, but there you have it. There you have it,” Edge added.
