The Dudley Boyz Celebrate A Cool Anniversary Today

The Dudley Boyz have accomplished some incredible things throughout their storied career, leaving a legacy of excellence and broken tables behind them. If you are a newer fan to professional wrestling and only know D-Von and Bubba Ray from their last run in WWE, it’s worth your time to do some research. They are indeed one of the best tag teams of all time, and probably the most successful ever at that.

These hard hitting, beastly brothers, who were initially torn from the movie script pages of the film “Slap Shot” went on to 3D their way through every professional wrestling promotion they ever encountered. Bubba Ray recently posted an outstanding tweet which showed a picture of them during their first title win, because it all started twenty years ago today.

Bubba posted the following:

They went on to win the ECW titles 8 times, the IWGP tag belts 2-times, Impact Wrestling titles twice, and they snatched up the WWE tag team titles 8 times during their career, this doesn’t even include several more belts they picked up along the way. They were also paired with the Dutchess of Dudleyville, Stacy Kiebler too and that’s always awesome.

Many might have called them a joke because they didn’t fit the traditional idea of a professional wrestling tag team by a long shot. They took those doubters and put them right through a table on their way to immortality alongside other wrestling greats.

D-Von Dudley is now working a backstage role for WWE and we all know what Bubba’s been up to. We here at Still Real To Us highly respect this family from Dudleyville, USA and can’t wait to see how they will contribute to professional wrestling for years to come.
