Drew McIntyre has been back with WWE for a number of years now and since then he’s faced off against a wide variety of Superstars on his path to the main event scene.
Recently Drew McIntyre went to war with Kofi Kingston on Monday Night Raw, and McIntyre picked up the win to earn himself a shot at Bobby Lashley’s WWE Championship at Hell in a Cell. Even though it was McIntyre who earned the title shot the matches got a lot of people talking as both men pulled out all the stops.
During an appearance on Out of Character with Ryan Satin, Drew McIntyre discussed his battles with Kofi Kingston, and he had major praise for the former WWE Champion.
“He’s incredible. He’s always been incredible. I’ve known him since FCW. He’s always had the passion, he’s always had the talent and unbelievable charisma, especially ever since The New Day thing started, it went to a whole other level.”
“But you never truly know how good somebody is until you’re in the ring with them and I knew how good he was. But to get in the ring with him the past couple of weeks, man he’s just at a whole other level and like that we could produce some magic together, and Kofi is magic.”
Drew McIntyre will challenge Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship at Hell in a Cell on Sunday, June 20. Stay tuned for updates.
