Last week’s episode of SmackDown featured a huge main event as Cody Rhodes defeated Drew McIntyre to become a three time Undisputed WWE Champion. This week’s episode of SmackDown kicked off with Drew McIntyre hijacking the show and Drew was heated.
The former champion made his way out into the arena and he stood on the announce table as he accused Nick Aldis of making sure his golden boy got the title before WrestleMania. McIntyre demanded that Aldis make things right. The situation quickly escalated as Nick Aldis told Drew that he understood why he didn’t want to give Cody a title shot, because as soon as he did Cody beat him.
The situation continued to escalate as Drew got in the ring and stepped up to Nick Aldis. Jacob Fatu’s music hit and The Samoan Werewolf made his way to the ring.
Fatu pointed out that he was the reason why Drew won the Undisputed WWE Championship. He also pointed out that he was the one who screwed Drew McIntyre last week when he interfered in the title match, and he asked the former champion what he was going to do about it.
Drew addressed Nick Aldis, Cody Rhodes, Jacob Fatu and the fans as he told everyone that he’s done with them all. McIntyre then got in Nick’s face and emphatically said “I quit!” Jacob Fatu and Nick Aldis looked shocked as Drew McIntyre stormed out through the crowd as the segment came to an end.
After the commercial break Jacob Fatu confronted Nick Aldis back and Aldis told Fatu that he didn’t know what to tell him other than Drew said he quits. Fatu tried to speak as he referred to Drew and said, “He quits right when I was about to whoop his…”
Trick Williams then interrupted as he told Fatu that only one person does the whooping around here, and he encouraged Fatu to get his own material. Fatu got heated with Trick, so Nick Aldis booked Jacob Fatu vs. Trick Williams for later in the show.
