For months now Drew McIntyre and CM Punk have been involved in one of the most heated rivalries in all of wrestling. CM Punk and Drew McIntyre finally clashed when they faced off at SummerSlam last month in a match that saw Drew pick up the victory. The two rivals faced off once again in a strap match at Bash In Berlin, and this time it was Punk who walked away with the win.
This week on Monday Night Raw, CM Punk made his way out to the ring much to the delight of the fans in Denver, CO. Punk cut a promo saying that Drew McIntyre was in his rearview mirror. He also directly addressed Gunther and said that he’s going to enjoy taking the WWE World Heavyweight Championship off of him.
Unfortunately for Punk, Drew McIntyre made his way out to destroy the Second City Saint. McIntyre threw CM Punk onto the announce table then hit him with a Claymore. Drew threw CM Punk back into the ring and continued to stomp on him.
WWE officials tried to stop Drew, but he grabbed the bracelet from CM Punk’s wrist. McIntyre looked like he was going to put the bracelet on. However, he broke it instead then shoved the beads in Punk’s face. CM Punk stood up and Drew McIntyre hit him with another Claymore.
After the commercial break cameras showed CM Punk being stretchered out of the arena. Drew then appeared out of nowhere and continued to attack Punk before he was pulled away by referees.
